About InfoFaith Communications

The dictionary defines Faith as a "firm belief in something for which there is no proof, a matter of complete trust, a system of religious beliefs." Building upon these precepts, InfoFaith Communications was created by Founder Roy Hanu Hart, M.D., as a vehicle to promote Jewish-Christian cooperation.

Dr. Hart, a psychiatrist with a long-abiding faith toward this mission, is the author of Journey of Faith (2002), second volume in a trilogy. The first was Far Journey (1993). The third will be Journey's End.

Dr. Hart also is the author of A Psychiatrist Looks at Medicine  (1973) and Bitter Grass: The Cruel Truth About Marijuana (1979).

In addition, he has written extensively for medical/psychiatric publications and has more than 75 newspaper columns to his credit, including an op-ed column in The New York Times (1973).

He has practiced psychiatry in New York, Arizona, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. After serving an internship in Pittsffield, Mass., he completed specialty training in psychiatry at Louisiana State University-Charity Hospital, New Orleans, and the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.

Dr. Hart earned his medical degree from McGill University, Montreal, in 1965. He was graduated from Ohio University with a B.A. degree in chemistry in 1952 and a Phi Beta Kappa key. In between the two degrees, he worked as a chemist and became CEO of Hart Enterprises, an export-import firm headquartered in Maine, with an office in Switzerland.

He was born in New York City in 1929. His wife, Cecilia Therese Chen-Wu, a retired psychiatric social worker, was born and reared in Foochow, Old China.

Dr. Hart lectures on Journey of Faith and on a broad range of subjects. His talks are for professional, lay, and religious groups. Regarding the latter, they are customized for Jewish, Protestant, and Catholic audiences.
